THE LITTLE THINGS WE DO TODAY WILL IMPACT OUR TEENAGERS AND THEIR CHILDREN OF TOMORROW

Foundation SaVant

The mission and aims of SaVant Foundation is to educate the poor and to give them the skills so they can find better jobs and thus a better way of life. SaVant Foundation is about changing lives of teenagers for the better since 2005. This is the best way to help anybody, by making them stand on their own feet, helping them to unveil their own potential and value. With just a few hours a week, our volunteers, teenagers, children and sponsors are doing their best to change the world we live in.

SaVant Foundation is a non-religious, non-political, non-profit organization that strongly believes in equal opportunity for all and in preserving the cultures, traditions and beliefs of the marginalized communities it works with. SaVant Foundation gives them real education and on the job training so they can either work with us or go out and find jobs. We believe that by getting a job people, can support themselves and improve lives and the lives of the their families back at home.

All programs are run and certificated by accredited experienced trainers. These qualifications are nationally recognized in the Philippines. We strive to help the underprivileged and less fortunate to learn and train at these premises. Such learning and training will assist in the development of the skills that are essential for undertaking further studies and vocational training. We believe that such learning and training will be a great help to young people who have no education and adults who have had a long break from learning or formal training.

Thank you to our sponsors from all over the globe. Keep up the support. The SaVant Foundation would like to thank everyone in helping people to live a meaningful life with a clear purpose.

Foundation Activities

We are saddened by the news of tropical storms over the period in the Philippines and by how many of the people are impacted due to this. We want to let them know that we are here for them in this time of need and require urgent extra funding. A prayer to all effected and a big thank you to our sponsors in giving. More money is needed, so we hope you can open up your hearts to support this cause.

Ongoing

We are looking for regular or casual sponsors for the children under our care. There are many children that are missing out on preschool education. Those kids who are not enrolled in education are missing critical investment opportunity, and suffering deep inequalities from the start. Hunger and malnutrition still pose a major challenge in most parts of the Philippines with quite a number of children still found to be malnourished at varying degrees. For these provinces that are already saddled with poverty, malnutrition starts a vicious cycle of ill health, lower learning capacity, and poor physical growth.

Students and their families in the Philippines face impossible decisions, as they struggle to get the support they need during the coronavirus pandemic. Covid 19 is having a devastating impact on children — and the vaccine won’t fix everything. We’re going to almost need an entire generation of kids to give them the opportunity to catch up.

It has been some years since Covid-19, climate change etc, began battering families in the Philippines are putting parents out of work, shrouding their homes in grief and loss, and shutting children out of the schools that taught and cared for them. It’s all taken an unthinkable toll on children — a social, emotional and academic ordeal so extreme that some advocates and experts warn its repercussions could rival those of a hurricane or other disaster.

If we fail to address this, we’re just compounding trauma. We’re compounding loss. Higher rates of depression, addiction, mental illness and physical disability, particularly for young children who are growing and developing right now. They’ll face more developmental delays leading to deficits in their education as they grow and, as with such catastrophes, the nation will need a powerful, comprehensive response, an organization that works towards this helping in.
